Personal data refers to information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. Certain categories of particularly sensitive personal data, such as health data, are afforded special protection by specific legal provisions. Data processed

We attach great importance to protecting your personal data. When using our website and Services, we primarily process the data necessary for use that you provide to us, as well as information we collect directly (see below).

In the course of using our website and Services, we collect metadata, such as information about your browser (type and version), your device type (e.g., smartphone or tablet), and your IP address. We also collect access data, also known as log data. This includes the name of the website accessed, the date and time of access, the amount of data transferred, a message indicating successful retrieval, information about the operating system, and details of the last website visited.

We only store and process further personal data about you if you provide it to us when using Services and tools (e.g., contact form). Further data protection information for specific tools may be found further below in this privacy policy.

Purpose

We process your data exclusively for the purposes that we communicated to you when collecting your data, as well as for other purposes compatible with those objectives. Further information on the bases for our data processing can be found further below in this privacy policy.

Processing of data

We process your data for various purposes in connection with communicating with you. This includes, in particular, responding to enquiries, asserting your rights, and contacting you in case of follow-up questions. In doing so, we primarily use communication data and master data, as well as registration data relating to offers and services you use. This data may be stored for documentation purposes, training, quality assurance, and follow-up enquiries. We also process data for marketing purposes and to maintain customer relationships. We may send general or personalised information about our offering to our users, for example through occasional contact by email, post, or telephone, as well as via other channels for which we have your contact information. You may refuse such contact at any time or withhold or withdraw your consent to be contacted for advertising purposes. With your consent, we can tailor our online offering more specifically to the needs of our users.

Furthermore, we may use your data for market research, to improve our online offering and our services, and, where applicable, for product development. Finally, we may also store and process your data for security reasons and for access control on our website.

Log files

We primarily use data to create server log files in order to carry out statistical analyses for operating the website, ensure the security of IT systems, and optimise the website. In doing so, we mainly use log data. The legal basis for this data processing is our legitimate interest in providing you with a secure and smooth user experience at all times. We also reserve the right to review the log data retrospectively if there are concrete indications of unlawful use.

Contact form

If you contact us via the contact form, we collect your contact details in order to process your enquiry and answer any follow-up questions. This data is transmitted in encrypted form.

If you have provided us with your email address or contacted us directly by email, we may also send you information by email in connection with processing your concerns and questions.

The legal basis for processing your data is our legitimate interest in being able to process your online enquiry efficiently and effectively. If the purpose of the email contact is to conclude a contract, the data processing is based on the initiation of this contractual relationship.

Newsletter

On our websites, you have the option to subscribe to our newsletter in order to receive regular information about us and our offers and services. If you sign up for the newsletter, your contact details from the input form will be transmitted to us. By ordering the newsletter, you give us your consent and at the same time acknowledge this privacy notice.

The legal basis for processing your data is our legitimate interest in proactively providing you with up-to-date information about us based on the interest you expressed by subscribing. You may withdraw your consent to receive the newsletter at any time with effect for the future. To do so, simply click the corresponding link at the end of each newsletter you receive.

Double opt-in

To ensure the security of your data, we use the double opt-in procedure. This means that after you subscribe to the newsletter, we will send an email to the email address you provided with a confirmation link. The address will only be activated for the newsletter distribution list after you click this link. Subscribing to the newsletter therefore requires your consent.

Bexio

Customer data can be integrated from our website into Bexio (Bexio AG, Alte Jonastrasse 24, 8640 Rapperswil, Switzerland). This is primarily the case when a contractual relationship is established between you and us. The data may be stored in Bexio to increase efficiency.

The legal basis for processing your data is our legitimate interest in optimising processes. Further information on Bexio’s data protection provisions can be found at the following link: www.bexio.com/de-CH/richtlinien/datenschutz

Marketing

We may use your data to occasionally inform you about news, new products, services, or other services of interest to you from us and, where applicable, our partners.

If you do not wish to consent to the use of your data for marketing purposes, you can inform us accordingly or refuse or withdraw your consent to receive marketing information.

Social media plugins

We may integrate services from various social media platforms on our website, which are usually recognisable by the respective company or network logos. When using these services, your IP address is communicated to their providers. The providers may link your data to your social media user account via the IP address, provided you are logged in at that time. In addition, it is possible that your IP address is stored by the providers even when you are logged out or without a corresponding social media account.

The legal basis for processing your data is our legitimate interest in providing you with attractive tools related to social media on our website.

LinkedIn

We may use the LinkedIn Pixel of LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company (Wilton Place Dublin 2, Ireland) on our website. The LinkedIn Pixel allows us to track your behaviour during your visit to our website. The usage data generated by the service is transferred by default to servers in a LinkedIn data centre and stored there, enabling us to optimise our offering and your user experience on that basis. The information collected by LinkedIn may be used to measure the effectiveness of ads and to display LinkedIn advertising. LinkedIn may link your data to your LinkedIn user account, provided you are logged in at that time. If you do not want LinkedIn to collect data, you can adjust the settings in your LinkedIn account using the following link:

https://www.linkedin.com/psettings/.

The legal basis for processing your data is our legitimate interest in analysing user behaviour in order to optimise our offering. Further information can be found at the following link: linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy

SSL

Due to the technical structure of the internet as an open network, secure transmission of your data cannot be guaranteed in all cases. If you send us your personal data, you do so at your own risk.

To ensure the protection of the data you transmit, we use encryption mechanisms in accordance with current security standards (Transport Layer Security, TLS). TLS is a protocol for secure data transmission on the internet and is supported by most browsers. It uses public-key cryptography, whereby data is encrypted with a publicly accessible key and can only be decrypted with a specific private key. Most browsers indicate whether a connection is secure by displaying a key symbol or padlock.

We implement various technical and organisational security measures to ensure the protection of your data within our system. Nevertheless, we would like to point out that despite these measures, there remains a risk of data loss, unauthorised access to, or manipulation of data by third parties. Please also note that certain network sections and your computer are outside our controllable security area. As a user, you are responsible for informing yourself about necessary security precautions and taking the required measures within your sphere of influence. Any liability on our part for damage you may incur due to data loss or manipulation is generally excluded.

Data retention

We store your data only for as long as necessary for the purposes stated by us or as we are legally or contractually obliged to do. Data that is no longer necessary for the stated purposes in the future will be deleted as part of our regular data maintenance or, alternatively, anonymised.

Update

This privacy notice is not part of any contract and may be amended by us at any time. The version published here shall apply in each case.
